As guests await the bride’s entrance, they will be captivated as she descends a graceful oak staircase curving to the main floor.

The venue offers exceptional accommodations for both the bridal party and groom’s party. The upstairs Bridal Suite includes multiple changing rooms, a private bathroom, four professional makeup stations, two professional hair stations, and an outdoor deck for relaxing moments before the ceremony.

The Groom’s Suite is equally impressive, featuring comfortable leather furnishings, an entertainment center with a large screen television and gaming hookups, two mini refrigerators, a foosball table, a private bathroom, and access to the private outdoor deck.

Birchwood Meadow also provides couples with the flexibility to personalize their celebration by selecting their preferred caterer and alcohol suppliers. Catering and bar staff will appreciate the spacious prep kitchen and dedicated bar area, which conveniently serves both indoor guests and those enjoying the outdoor patio.

We are a blended family blessed with six children—five daughters and one son. As you can imagine, with five daughters, weddings have been a topic of conversation and planning in our family for many years. Four of our daughters have now been married locally, including one who had the opportunity to celebrate her wedding at Birchwood Meadow after the venue was completed. Sharing that special day at our own venue was an unforgettable experience and reinforced our vision for what Birchwood Meadow could offer other couples.

Through the wedding planning journeys of our daughters, we gained valuable insight into the local wedding industry; what couples love, what works well, and where opportunities exist to create something even more special. Those experiences inspired us to build a venue that combines beauty, flexibility, convenience, and a warm, welcoming atmosphere.

Dave and I both grew up just outside of Swanton, and many of our family members and lifelong friends have called this community home for generations. It is a place filled with hardworking, kind-hearted people who take pride in their schools, neighborhoods, and local traditions.

We are incredibly grateful for the opportunity to share Birchwood Meadow with couples and families as they celebrate life's most meaningful moments. Our goal is to provide a unique wedding and event venue where your vision comes to life, your guests feel at home, and memories are created that will last a lifetime.

We are a blended family with 6 children (five daughters and one son). As you can imagine with five daughters, wedding planning has been on our minds for years. Two years ago, our first daughter got married locally and one year later the second one got married and now we have a third getting married this year. Throughout these three daughters we have gained a wealth of knowledge on what the local wedding market offers and what it is missing.

Our venue will be located in the Village of Swanton in NW Ohio. Swanton is a small warm and welcoming country town. We chose Swanton not only for the country charm, but also for the easy access from the Toledo Express Airport, the Ohio Turnpike and Interstate 475. Dave and I grew up just outside of Swanton and we have family and lifelong friends who have lived in Swanton for many years. You will find good hearted people who care deeply about their schools and their community.
